Our Programs

To achieve our goals, we have the following programs

Guided by SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 12 (Responsible Production and Consumption), and SDG 13 (Climate Action), Mviringo Africa is dedicated to transforming communities through sustainable solutions. We envision a world where communities thrive in harmony with nature, empowered by sustainable practices.

Current Programs

Cleanups & Strategic Bin Placement

We organize cleanups and place bins to encourage proper waste disposal at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.

So far, we have placed one recycling bin and three cages at the university and conducted two cleanups since January 2024.

Awareness Campaigns

We educate the public on environmental issues through weekly quizzes on Instagram, social media, and webinars with experts.

We create engaging content and provide actionable steps for individuals to contribute to a healthier planet.

Educational Workshops

We host workshops on environmental issues and sustainable practices. So far, 96 students have attended our workshops.

Topics include circular economy, energy conservation, water management, and sustainable gardening.

Upcoming Programs

Climate Conversations

Monthly discussions on climate change and sustainability. We aim to create open, judgment-free spaces for learning about climate action.

Recycling Drives

We are planning our first drive to collect recyclables, reduce waste, and promote recycling. These drives will provide drop-off points for items like paper, plastic, glass, and electronics. Volunteer at our first drive here.
